#700097 Silver, 1989 Commemorative Edition

Silver was one of Breyer's earlier attempts at a modern decorator.  He was made as a special run, limited to 5,000 pieces in 1989.  They are hand-numbered on the belly.  For some reason, every one I've seen was signed by then Breyer representative Peter Stone.  I believe these models were often sold at Breyer events attended by Mr. Stone.  This model is signed by Peter Stone on the belly (see photo). 

Silver is steel grey wtih tri-colored eyes, red nostrils, black points, and brownish grey hooves.  His halter is painted black.  Some models are very grey, while others, like this one, have a base color visible under the grey.  It is very evident in the photos.  It almost looks like the old buckskin Two Bits they painted over with grey.

He doesn't come with his box.  He's in mint condition.  Any white marks are just camera glare.
