"Perhaps the most widely-known horse breed, Thoroughbreds have attracted fans around the world with their incredible racing ability and athleticism. While most Thoroughbreds have solid coats with minimal white markings on their legs and face, the Jockey Club also allows Thoroughbreds that exhibit pinto markings to be registered. While the Jockey Club doesn't officially recognize these colored horses as pintos at this time, many owners of pinto-colored Thoroughbreds have double registered their horses with the American Paint Horse Association and/or the American Pinto Horse Association. While sabino patterns are most the commonly seen pinto pattern in Thoroughbreds, Eclipse is a striking rare black tobiano pinto Thoroughbred. Pinto horses with the tobiano pattern typically have a solid-colored head, white legs, large overlapping markings, and a two-colored tail. Eclipse's unique coloring is highlighted by a blue interference finish that makes his black coat pop!"
Eclipse is on the Emerson mold (Traditional size). This model is new in the box (NIB). The stock photo plays up the blue "interference finish", but the horse isn't as blue as the photo. It's black with a blue tinge.
