The Rocky Mountain Horse is an American breed that traces its roots back to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky, and today is a favorite with trail and endurance enthusiasts. Their unique four beat gait, which can be either a single foot or a rack, makes them a pleasure to ride because the rider will feel very little sway! The breed’s characteristic coloration is a deep chocolate body with a flaxen mane and tail.
